Thank you for sharing your story of 3 hero's ..You, your husband and your son.I was thinking of all the ironies occurring as I read along ..much like my story of learning I had AIDs and 50 t Cells at Diagnosis...and went on to get gastric cancer, today Im a shell of who i was without a stomach and other organs but no cancer..still living with HIV controlled on 2 meds! Im an Advanced Practice Nurse how could this happen to me? Im grateful that today you continue to thrive and empower others .

Thank you for this. I remember a few people who were misdiagnosed and later found that they were infected living in S.F. in the 80s. Many didn't make it to the mid 90s when effective treatment became available. It seemed especially cruel. I am grateful though I lived through the fear as it morphed into a beautiful community. I hold everyone who touched me in my heart. I wouldn't wish it on anyone but I wouldn't change a thing in regards to me. I know it's odd saying that but it's true. Thanks.
