Last year, Durex raised its wholesale prices to U.S. nonprofits by more than 5X their prior prices (e.g., $65 per case to $350 per case). If they truly cared about HIV prevention in proportion to profits, they would maintain the lowest possible prices while still contributing to worldwide prevention. This PR piece masks the primal reason Durex is doing this - to appear altruistic and to make people feel good about their condom purchases. Baah.
