The International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI) has selected two new board members, according to an IAVI statement. They are Ambassador Eric Goosby, the former U.S. global AIDS coordinator, and Lord Norman Fowler, the former U.K. health secretary during the administration of Margaret Thatcher. Goosby is a professor at the University of California, San Francisco. Most recently, he oversaw the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). Fowler is vice chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on HIV and AIDS. He was chair of the House of Lords Select Committee on HIV/AIDS.
