in response to I'M GENE March 16,2016: My experience w Sol/Rib was the same for Type 3. I am to be put into a study for Merck with a new combo but have no info on it until later in May. Am unsure why I didn't get on the Sol/Dac combo in the first place. I started my treatment in Nov 2015.

I have genotype 3 Hep C. I was treated with Solvaldi and Ribavirin over a year ago. The treatment cleared after three months but the viral load came back ten fold after six weeks. I've read that other people have had the same experience. It's my understanding that Genotype 3 is harder to clear and a combination of Daklinza and Sovaldi is the prefered treatment. Has anyone had a similar experience?

I just finished a 12 week treatment of Sovaldi and Daklinza and I have geno type 2b. After the first blood work 2 weeks into treatment the virus was not detectable in my body! The side effects were pretty mild for me, basically fatigue( which I was use to from the disease anyways) and some pretty bad headaches. Near the end of treatment I did have some intestinal issues but then treatment ended and I was ok. I feel like a new person! This combination was great !
