Why invent a cure when soooo much money is being made off us? I think the AZT debacle of the 80s that killed so many of our beloved friends and the fact that generics are not sold in the US- only foreign countries are proof that money drives treatment. Combine that with the 'punishments' certain state legislators impose on HIVers (talking about you Mississippi) by making people drive to one location in the state for Ryan White svcs. Don't kill the cash cow, it will be dead. Grrrrrrr

I would absolutely love a once a week injection. I have been POZ for 23 years and I have a hard time being compliant even with the one pill a day so having a once a week shot would really help me be more compliant

Ah, another money-making treatment! Why am I not surprised? At least the shareholders will be happy. The patients will be grateful for another life-saving option, but deep down inside they yearn for a final CURE. Alas, there are too many yearly billions for the taking. The HIV economy is here to stay.
