These 2 are scum, I find it sad and appalling that there are actually people who would defend their actions against this child.
These two men are so very stupid to have done that. They need to be in prison for the rest of their lives. Give them hard labour for intentionally infecting those they had unprotected sex with.
I feel that they should go to jail. They r spreading hiv to young people. Having a disease and willingly exposing people is a crime. It is assault against the person. it u hit a person, you would go to jail. This is a life changing event, and if the 16 yr old gets hiv, the charges should go up to intent to murder. Just cause u have hiv a crime is still a crime. Actions that harm people are crimes.
This is just sad. Yes we are told this is a chronic disease so I don't understand such a harsh sentencing. I think that lenghty sentences are another reason for the stigma we face. Its sad I hope the 16yo is neg. I found out after testing pos and my partner admitted he'd known five years prior and never said anything. Several issues here - first, 16 year old on Grindr is either really lying about his age, or these two are just sick pedophiles. Second, the fact that the three of them engaged in unprotected sex in this day and age is mind numbing. Finally, Jeff Hamlin, you posted "undetectable" have a slim chance of infecting anyone. Really? I recommend you change doctors if that's what you're being told. Undetectable simply means your viral load is under a certain threshold, but darling its still there . .
I have hiv and been on meds for 10yrs now and i'm undectable,and all of us that have responded well to the meds have a very slim chance of infecting anyone.
Doesn't that beg the question what kind of sex education, if any, did this young man have? Surely the onus is not solely on the older men. Everyone who has sex needs to be safe, always. And yes, parents, 16 year olds do have sex. Get educated!
