many of us living w/ the virus for many years, me(28 years),we are not ok because w/develop a good support sistem, is that we lost a lot of friends, many of us escaped the pain using alcohol and drugs etc,etc and at the end we realizing what life is, no humans have any power to give us life so who the hell care what others think about us, we know that we are going to go when is time, why boder,w/ what people will said or think about us,thats why i think we are doing OK enjoyin life until the end

Interesting subject, the title pulled me in. When talking about mental health and depression are you talking about mental illness or mental health as in well being? If mental illness depression, severe depression and SMI, serious mental illness (bipolar) I'd have to say all generations combat stress, depression, stigma, isolation. Add to the mix SMI and SSDI = poverty and poverty can limit the consumer which adds to isolation. 500 words is limiting for this piece. Again good subject, thank you.

I am a 54 yr old male hiv+ 22 pluse years. I went on a drug trial in 1996 at Albany Med Center called dmp266 it saved my life. Today meds are less toxic. I have just opened a new business, I don't dwell on my hiv, it's there and it behind me not I front I'm a lucky guy. Remembering all that didn't survive thank you. I have to LIVE !! Donald
