I find this trite and insulting. If staying healthy isnt enough incentive to remember to take your pills, a gift card isnt going to do it. The money is better spent helping those still waiting for actual treatment.
How about bringing the price down on meds so all can afford name brands it would be nice to get a gift card but get the meds out there
I'd like to see this at my clinic!
I thought the financial incentive program was fantastic, sad that it wasn't extended for another year or two. Being awarded for my efforts at staying healthy, helped me pull myself up out of a depressed state of mind and to learn to love myself even better. Thank you for that much needed incentive.

Nothing angers me like watching Poz support the dumbing down of HIV. Most of us find DEATH FROM AIDS to be sufficient motivation to roll off the couch and take our meds. The instances I've known in which people were not undetectable had more to do with lack of access than lack of motivation. Keep the gift card, just get us the pills! Of course, the last thing this magazine wants to do is acknowledge that there are structural impediments to HIV care. It's easier to blame the victim.
