GMHC will get $1.5 million over five years to expand testing, prevention and care services for Puerto Rican gay men and other men who have sex with men in New York City, according to a GMHC statement. The grant comes from the Health Resources and Services Administration of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The program is titled LINK II (Leaders in Networking and Knowledge). LINK II will get HIV-positive Puerto Rican MSM to recruit people they know for HIV testing; the program will also employ someone from the Puerto Rican MSM community to provide culturally relevant materials and accompany men to medical care for their initial visits.
