I understand how scary is to go to gym. Especially, when you don't have knowledge or experience with what and how to work out. That's normal. Agree with Mr Adventure, find a work out buddy. He/she will motivates and supports you. Ask people in the gym. They are usually happy to help. My advise is to start with machines to work out each body part first. Then move on to Dumbbells, bars, and such. The process takes long but its sure rewarding. Helps me physically and emotionally

Mr. Adventure

Psych yourself up before each workout; remind yourself of the reasons you are going, and the benefits you will achieve. For me, this was a big and sustained boost in mood after a week of working out (4x a week). I like feeling stronger and fit, looking better, and taking action to improve my overall health. Try to find a workout buddy who is disciplined about attending. Make friends at the gym by asking others to spot you or seeking their advice and suggestions. Don't overdo it; have fun.
