Many local HIV/AIDS groups that receive funding from the federal Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program are concerned their support may shrink as the Affordable Care Act (a.k.a. the health care reform law, or ACA) is fully implemented in 2014, MedPage Today reports. Their concerns were raised during a panel discussion at the 10th annual National Summit on Health Disparities. Ryan White funds will not disappear as the result of the ACA, but the program’s ability to pay for certain services after the ACA kicks in is unclear.
