gg1964 any contact blood to blood - dental cleaning, ear piercing, tattoos, manicure/pedicure, surgery prior to 1992 (when a diagnostic test was developed) could have exposed you to HCV. Sex is not a common transmission method unless both exchanged blood or had cuts. I gave birth to 2 children, neither have HCV.

1976 I was told I may have Hepatitis. 2014 Harvoni approved by FDA but insurance company ok'd it only because I had cirrhosis, had a failed interferon treatment & had surgery to remove skin cancer. My treatment was 24 weeks. Everyone with HCV should be treated with Harvoni as soon as it is diagnosed. Shorter treatment & it works. People are dying & liver cancer is on the rise from HCV. I will have tests the rest of my life to detect liver cancer & throat varices. HCV is curable, why die?

I knew how my x- husband was therefore I got checked every 6 months. To my surprise as well as my D surprise as well as my doctors surprise I was diagnosed with HepatitiC.I did treatment but I still don't understand . my doctor told me its a 5% chance it came from sex. The women he had sex with had hep.c
