What an encouraging article about the positive effects of Milk Thistle (MT) and Liver function. The pharmacist at my local pharmacy highly suggested against using it because there is no regulation around this and other natural medicines and therefore you never know how much you are actually getting from one brand to another. What dosage did the study used and did they use a specific brand that they would recommend? Can one overdose or take an amount of MT that would stop being effective?

i was tested in jan 1991 and my result was reactive. i have been seen by the same md during my illness and since he is my general practitioner,as well, he treats me with kid gloves approx 10 yrs passed and he told me now i have tested pos for Hep-c due to the urgent treatment for both illnesses, i'm inclined to ask him about the milk thissle treatment, described on this webpage hoping that it won't effect my health as did st johns wart did with many others thanks for the info
