I remember being present the Friday PM before the DC IAC in 1987 when President Reagan spoke tto the public for the first since the start of the epidemic. Alot of boos from activists who knew how homophobic, the entire govt had been so far. And was also present when the Administration actively worked to prevent ANY AIDS/HIV funding. This is all covered in Randy's "And the Band Played On." Hillary should have spoken to Bill before making those remarks!
I lived in Washington D.C> when Ronald Reagan was President. The only thing I can say about the Reagans and the AIDS epidemic is that, they were totally disgusting when it came to stepping up and helping those infected. President Reagan said nothing, until the end of his last term, and did absolutely nothing at all ! Hillary must have dreamt all of this stuff about Nancy Reagan because I do not recall ANYTHING this first lady said or did for the AIDS crisis at that time.

There is no sense in talking about AIDS because the reality is the majority of people think it's a gay disease. Yet look at the divorce rates and the teen pregnancy. People only care when it affects them personally.
