Amen, brothers! I'm about to turn 56 and know lots of hot guys my age, but my mirror and my body keep telling me I'm so much older than they are. Considering what we've been through, the horrible illness and tsunamis of death we've survived it feels like a "luxury problem" by comparison, but it's still a lot more problem than luxury.
My favorite thing to say these days is, "I'm too young to be this old." 58 going on 85. Who want's a tired old queen? I'm with Al in SF.
I am 56 going on 67. I have conversations with mother who is 78 And friends that are almost 70 years old about our aches, pains and memory. We all tell the same stories about our health. People my age that are healthy talk about work, gym and their night out of town. I have nothing in common with them accept age. This really depresses me and causes me to isolate. I have been in deep depression for over 10 years now. I don,t recall middle age... Senior With disability is pretty much my label.

For Lou Grosso Have you seen a neurologist about your memory. There are five things that can turn your brain into Swiss cheese that have nothing to do with disease-- Extreme stress, lack of sleep, medications, alcohol and depression. You are taking a lot of drugs. Your doctor need to team up with a pharmacist and evaluate your meds. You CAN get your memory back. It happened to me. Good luck and God bless you.
