been on Atripla since dec 06 viral load gone from 255,000 to les then 50 C4 count from 327 to 773 main concern med cost so much , not sure how much longer I can afford it
I started meds when i was bouncing around between 350-400 for a year or so, but I was so exhausted and depressed with a lack of energy and GI tract issues I felt the need to start. Within a month it was amazing the difference. Within a year my counts were over 600 and undectable, with no side effects. I wished I had started sooner. They say HIV attacks in the gut first, and in my case I certainly felt my system was being damaged long before "350". Who came up with that number anyway?
what about my situation is this ... im first year poz and viral load of 98 and cd4 counts of 1050..so if i wer to start to progress quickly should i start meds sooner like 500 i get checked quarterly ? and should i start now while its so low a viral load?

I believe aids is only a health situation who must be handle by the person as to be a personal daily basis. aim a hiv person for 18 yrs I start Med on 2008 I feel great , better at never SO be positive be your self
