Overall, I found this to be a good article. I am amazed, however, that there is no caution about checking the clients for tolerance to aspirin. I lost All subcutaneous fat in my forearms & shins due to Zerit(d4t) & the earliest protease inhibitors. Now, my skin bruises & tears very easily, & I have landed in the hospital to treat these bruises more than once. If I was on aspirin, I would be going to the clinic constantly, to treat bruises that wouldn't stop bleeding.

I don't think that taking Aspirin to prevent heart attack is a good idea. The risk of bleeding is too high. I'm surprised to read this article. Anyway, the best way to prevent heart attack is to optimize the level of vitamin D (the best source is make the natural vitamin D through the sun, the second choice is with moderate use of tanning beds, third choice is chemical vitamin D3). Tanning will also decrease risks of cancers, diabetes, depression, osteoporosis, obesity, etc. etc.
