Desert AIDS Project

The last sentence really sums it up for us. We do our best to ensure our clients have access to services given funding/eligibility guidelines. We have to raise funds to offer other services including outreach for those who have fallen out of care or been newly diagnosed.

If "Former DAP Client" sees this- contact Brande Orr, Director of Grants & Quality Assurance at (760) 323-2118 x256 so we discuss and investigate your concerns & see how we can improve our services.

Thanks for posting.

Former DAP Client

The Desert Aids Project used to provide every client w/ a dedicated case worker. It was required that you see your case worker every six months or you would be dropped as a client. Then, case workers were reserved for the neediest of clients. Non-case worker clients are "required" to come in annually to provide RWA documentation, but receive no services at this appointment. Is it any wonder that we fade away? I hadn't seen a case worker in five years, but they called annually to get RWA $$$
