This is a tiny amount of money. Marty deserves more.

Conrad, Ever heard of the German patient? Before accusing others of being "on crack", perhaps it's you that should consider putting down the pipe. While I'm certainly not a Republican, your unnecessary political diatribe is tiring.

The first person cured was when? Are you on crack? Nobody has ever been cured and it is careless to talk about a cure as if it is right around the corner. This is a very long term effort. I think if we make a small price commitment to find a cure, we should also fund a huge effort to refocus the healthcare efforts in this country. Instead, Republicans obstruct and both parties are bought off by the insurance industry. Perhaps starting with campaign finance reform would be a better first step.

I Strongly believe, confirm and sustain that if everyone infected gets on Haart, sponsored by all of the governments worldwide, then HIV will disappear and it will go the way it came. Slowly.

Only 8.5 milion dollars ? Hiv eradication research is worthy of bilion dollars... sigh. Anyway i feel that hiv eradication will not be a dream soon ( in 2012-2013 perhaps ) Don't forget that the first hiv+ man cured dates back to 2006-2007.. Dottor's Hutter patient...
