After stopping Atripla the peripheral neuropathy went away, but not the Anosmia. I still cannot smell anything.

One month after taking Atripla I experienced an inabilty to smell anything. I have been diagnosed with Anosmia and also have a decreased sennse of taste. I have reported this to my Primary Care, Infectious Disease , Neurologist who sent me to my ENT physcian and the FDA. The ENT MD prescribed Corticosteroids and they havn't worked. He stated the olfactory nerve damage may be temporary or permanent. I can't smell anything and the fist time I noted this was on Memorial day barbecue 4months ago.

Beware other medications also. I took the new drug Intelence and after only 3 weeks, both of my feet and left ankle were getting numb. It took me 2 months for my HIV Dr to send me to a Neurologist and I now have permanent motor and sensory damage.
