This is an interesting article. I'm curious to knowing what were the HIV patients health condition, outside of having the infection? It is very important to have a Infectious Disease (ID) Doctor and a Primary Care Physician (PCP)Doctor. Staying physically active and health dieting plays a huge part. Also, could it be something in the HIV medication that maybe causing the heart to weaken????For example, some HIV medication caused kidney/liver issues for some people. These are just my thoughts.

Well, I was aware of this risk from my docs over the years, but this study is really disturbing...like telling us that even living a healthy lifestyle isn't going to help much in keeping from having a possibly fatal heart attack. Sheesh...

And the bad news for HIV patients keeps on coming! Don't worry. Big Pharma will formulate a medication specifically for HIV hearts...at a significant cost to insurers and the taxpayers. They need to keep us alive to continue buying the first medication!
