The Insite clinic has counsellors and doctors on duty to help people get their lives back on track. In a documentary I saw, a woman switched to methadone and was helped to get her own place and get off the street. It seems like a wonderful program that should be adopted in other cities as well. Nobody wants it in their backyard, but this clinic is actually a civilized place in the middle of Vancouver's down-and-out east end.
