This research is IMHO the type that can be a game changer. Medications that can keep macrophages from becoming infected would be the ultimate post-exposure prophylaxis to prevent the virus from taking hold. It is clear that the gut and the bone marrow remain the two reservioirs that must be drained for any hope of an HIV "cure'...this is solid research and possibly IMHO Nobel quality research-scientists have not understood macrophage inability to fight off HIV and this could turn page.

This is great news unfortunately it will probably be taken by those who make big money from HIV and swept under the rug unless they can figure out a way to make money from it without curing HIV
