Okay.. I do not approve of this medicine. I have been on it for HIV PRN and all it did was make things worse including my pain.. what may work for one may not work for the other.. so just keep in mind that this is not a miracle drug..as said above..

If you are unlucky enough to have this kind of pain, you know that the most effective thing is vicodin, in low doses, so that there risks of dependence are lower, cost about 4 bucks a month, other medications, cost, $238.00 per month, When will we learn that Political correctness is not good, you know the funniest thing the doctor said to me, when I said hey I cant afford to pay 238 dollars? He said that he was afraid he might loose his license if he prescribed it. So I suffer, because of BS

Anecdotal evidence is nearly worthless in determining a drug's efficacy. In the early days of HIV, people continued to use particular meds after they were found to be useless. This drug does work and the committee was correct in not approving it. I, too, have severe peripheral neuropathy, but time has taught me that when a drug fails in trial and must rely on random anecdotal reports of success, then the drug is a failure. Physicians who report anecdotal success are deluding themselves.
