But they're essentially the same exact thing and function the same way.

I just want to know if it's safe to be vaccinated and, if so, how many times. My GP recommends twice.

I am surprised that there has not been any updates or replies about questions concerning the H1N1 Vaccine and how PWA or are HIV+ react to the vaccine. I keep looking for information, but seems there is none. Which is extremely surprising, much less disappointing. Our son, who escaped being HIV+ is getting his H1N1 this week. Will it affect his Mom or I in some way. Why is there no information??

Is there any data about the H1N1 Vaccine and how it affects people with HIV or AIDS? Are PWA going to need 2 shots, or 1? HIV+? Or will this depend on the current health of the person such as CD4's and Viral Load?

Certain preliminary epidemiological studies undertaken by this author in India during June to Early-September 2009 on H1N1 and HIV association do point out one significant fact that deaths relating to H1N1 were clustered more in areas known for high HIV prevalence rates especially in big cities. I have studied the epidemiology of Novel Influenza A H1N1 in India upto 7th Sept 2009 and there is a strong association of H1N1 increased morbidity and mortality in people with HIV co-infection or decreased humoral immunity [age less than 5 and more than 65] Dr S T WALI Formerly at J N Medical College Aligarh India Consultant Epidemiologist-IDSP-Government of India

Is there any reason to believe that use of TWO anti-H1N1 antivirals would be more effective for treatment or prophylaxis, i.e. Rx'ing both Relenza or Tamiflu for folks with symptomatic early H1N1 Influenza and their immediate close household contacts??
