I've had worsening TCP for at least 15 yrs.-now averaging about 50k plates with a low of 35k when treated with high doses of Bactrim for presumptive PCP in 4/09. I was switched to Dapsone (PCP prophyx) due to TCP years ago. Never used interferon, have no form of hepatitis but 2.5 yrs ago was diagnosed with Nodular Regenerative Hyperplasia (biopsy) of liver after severe variceal bleeding. I've been undetectable-less than 40 copies-for years. There are more routes to TCP than the study shows.
I am ( I think the only person to use interferon for hcv for six years.my platelets are around 40 I also have pain in my bones. just to state a few problems I beleave is due to my treatment with interferon I also think it gave me cryglbulinenemia What can I do

I am currently on Harvoni and have noticed a rise in platelet count after 4 weeks. is this common as my platelet count has been low for quite a number of years.
