I don't understand why the immune system would try to expel the TIPs. Wouldn't the immune system recognize the TIPs as a foreign pathogen? How could they just lie dormant until the HIV virus is introduced?

Absolutely ridiculous

You've got to be f***ing kidding me. You people want us to take some experimental genetic therapy so that the handful of pozzies who willfully infect others will be less likely to do so? What are you going to do, force everyone who tests positive to start this therapy immediately? Unless thats your plan, you're not going to stop the "superspreaders". Why can't these a$$holes stop thinking of ways to paint us as toxic monsters and start working on a damn cure? Or fund some treatment. NOW!

This is really incredible news. And we need to be thankful for this kind of progress...but...dear,lord,forgive me for sounding selfish. We need to focus more on "cure". Like R.Hofman and T.Horn presented to us,"cure" is what we need to find. I just hope i'm not being selfish or unrealistic. And i'm sorry if i am.
