The problem with stem cells is that one person has been 2 years with out the virus and 2 out of every three person estimate die from the process. You see it is only 33 percent successful in one case only. I will take my odds somewhere else for now. Plus the USA policies for 8 years have banned most of stem cell research in USA , and we in the USA are way behind the scientific curve. A cure yes ,naturally, eraticing the HIV virus in people or a costly vaccine. It is all good
What is the point of discussing this? There isn't a vaccine and common sense dictates that unless it is 100% effective, people will hold off until one comes along. They'd be better to use the money for this pointless research in actually researching a vaccine/cure.
If it is 100% then why take it. You have no really effective way of preventing from getting it.
Pesonally I admire the professionals in this field of research. They all work tirelessly to give back life. My question is, why is there not more focus on stim cell transplants? It does work. For those who've not heard of this, google it, bing it, something. The cure has been found. Let's harness that fact and put it into action and quit convincing us pozies that we need to put sulfer into our bodies for the rest of our lives to live. Get with it people.

Let be the first of many to say, yes i would line up for the shot if it were given today. I think there is still alot of work to be done before we can find a cure, but there is still hope, the important this is to start some form of treatment as soon as u are tested pos., that will be your first line of defense, if u wish to prolong your life. I have a great Doctor here and am very blessed have him. I do hope that some day they do find a cure, but in the mean time I'll keep waiting and waiting.
