When a woman has to worry each time about disclosure, discrimination, rejection and the criminalization that comes with HIV, its but normal that sex is not of interest to her. Stress, depression and other health issues associated with HIV definitely make me loose my sex drive.

For me I just think the research is always behind what's already been going on. For years I thought that it was some thing mental, but now this just confirms I am not crazy HIV can be a factor why I just don't have a sex drive. For me it's not a problem, but I have had issue with past partners.

It has been years since we've had "regular" sex (1-3 times a week). Now, it "might" be 2-3 times a month, maybe. Her Cd4's are in the high 600's are as mine, both of us have "undetectable VL, but she does take more and different meds than I do. My sexual appetite is still quite high (which is what got my ass in trouble in the first place), and I'll be 57 this year, Her at 49.

These type of studies just show how "out of touch" with the PLWHA community people are...do you think having HIV would not affect ones sex life? Really sad....
