Dear, Mr Turk your words are very elegant in your youth of trying to understand a world build on power of men and women, both white and brown, Muslim, Jewish and Christian. I am white and I too am loved and I too am loving in my walk as a Christian Gay Man. Within all the comments you have made in your writing I have been in and your points are well taken. My Rabi and faith instructs the believer to love and that God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them.
This article was truly beautiful...it really inspired me and hit home...he is very handsome and I would love to meet him one day!!!
Your story is truely touching and inspirational. Thank you for being the person that you've become and thank you for sharing your story. Hussain you are an amazing person. Inside and out! Good luck with your future.
"Don't Ask, Don't Tell was never about gays secretly participating in the armed forces. It was and still is about gays secretly hating being themselves."
I was a Red Bull (a member of MN's Army National Guard) and I was discharged under DADT. Feel free to define for yourself what DADT repeal meant for you, but I can tell you you're way off base about what it meant for others.
From my view, the policy known as DADT was a barrier to trust and integrity as well as another way of dehumanizing us.
I just wanted to comment on such of a truthful artical written by Hussain, from Arcus Center for Social Justice Leadership of Kalamazoo College, Michigan. It is so TRUE, that if anyone, no matter what your LABEL, or RELIGION. If You Believe in Our Creator, a GOD of LOVE. You Will Live Forever. Thank You, Rich Snell.....Muskegon, Michigan
Thank you for writing this beautifully written piece! It is much appreciated and YOU have given me the HOPE that I've been looking for as a non-white person with HIV.

I feel bad for anyone that has had to go through such numbing trials to reach a sensible answer to any question.I guess it's not easy for everyone to find what they need.At least not when they need it.
