Isn't this true for ALL clinical trials participants? 100-to-1 mark-up on the profits relative the manufacturing costs use to be the norm. Now it approaches 1,000-to-1. Why start a war when a country can start an pandemic (late 1950s OPV trials in the Congo), and implement "Free Trade Agreements" that deter other countries from helping their citizens fight the pandemic?
