Michael Everhart of Boise, Idaho, has been charged with knowingly attempting to transfer bodily fluids with HIV, The Idaho Statesman reports. According to sheriff’s reports, Everhart told officials he had unprotected sex with up to 20 men and one woman since he tested HIV positive in 2009. Officials have notified five of those sexual partners, but reports didn’t clarify whether any of them has tested positive. Everhart is charged with one count, which is punishable by up to 15 years in prison, but other counts are possible.
