I met Jacques at APLA in the 90s during my volunteer work with Paul Serchia. Jacques was very helpful during my Social Security application and also assisted with my life insurance documents. He was a warm and intelligent person.
How many people --other than me-- did Jacques Chambers help? Tens of thousands of mostly POZ people, without a doubt. Well-informed, and always gracious, Jacques Chambers left you with confidence and armed with useful knowledge. Over two decades communicating, we never met in person. Still, I will miss Jacques as though he was a friend. Jacques was a human dynamo, one the finest advocates for POZ anywhere. Name a street after Jacques! Or a school!

I just ran across this article to learn Jacques Chambers has died. I first met Jacques a number of years ago through his consulting work when my partner needed to challenge a decision made by his disability carrier. Jacques won that appeal for us and then another. Several years later, I faced a similar experience and Jacques came through for us a third time. He was a brilliant man who provided services at very fair prices in order to help as many as possible. I was blessed to know him.
