How can I sign up for these class action lawsuits against Truvada? I have tried online only to be told they weren’t taking on any more clients. It’s very frustrating, I’ve had bone loss and low bone density which has led to surgeries. Help please.

I think it is absolutely disgusting how these large pharmaceutical companies don't care about human life, just profits; it has always been this way for years. How do these people sleep at night. I hope they lose the shirts off their backs.

This is just my opinion, but I believe that the doctors prescribing Truvada, either ad treatment or prep, should also be held accountable and liable for damages as they are aware of how dangerous this drug is and what it can do yet they continue to prescribe it. In my case, they KNEW Truvada caused my AVN yet continued to keep me on it anyway until I demanded that they change my medication after my hip procedure. They switched me too Descovy, a "supposedly" safer form of Truvada.

I thought it was over until December of '17 when I developed AVN in my left hip. This time, however, my new orthopedic decided on an experimental procedure, I believe he called it a Subcondralplasty but not for certain. This procedure involved drilling a whole in to the hip joint to try and stimulate blood flow. So far, it has worked, but there are no guarantees it will hold. He doesn't doesn't really know what to expect as it is a new procedure for treating AVN. He can only monitor it.

I want in on this. Approximately 4-5 years ago, I developed AVN (Avascular Necrosis, loss of blood supply to the bone) in my right shoulder, ultimately resulting in a partial shoulder replacement, will need a total replacement in another 5 years. My doctors told me then that it was a side effect of Truvada but still kept me on it. A year later I developed AVN in my left shoulder, requiring another partial replacement. I now have very limited use in my shoulders and a great deal of pain.

I am a member of Kaiser Permanente in Portland Oregon. I have continually asked my HIV Physician about the new and less toxic Tenofovir alafenamide since way before it's approval every single time I talk with my doctor. Two of the top HIV Physicians at Kaiser still are extremely reluctant to say it is even an improvement at all. It is still not even available to us here as it is nearing closer and ever closer to a year since it's approval by the FDA. I have survived 29 years with HIV/AIDS.
