An amazing article filled with hope and inspiration. I remember "that moment" around 1996 when people simply stopped dying. A doctor told me in 1995 that, "1996 will be known as the year people stopped getting sick". Today, it's easy for people to think the long term survivors are 100% well. The permanent effects of early harsh HIV ARV therapy are not always apparent. That is one of the most difficult things I encounter. Even doctors will tell me "how good" I'm doing based only on labs.
