Your article regarding Lipodystrophy has a HUGE error, it stated there is no treatment for this condition. Wrong, totally wrong. I am on Serostim, a growth hormone that has significantly reduced my belly fat accumulation & weight. I began this therapy back in the late 90's and it worked to reduce my waistline from 48 to 36 in about 10 months. It now measures 34 and my weight has stabilized at 195 from 240. Serostim is the reason. You need to be more accurate in reporting. Your article is wrong.

Don Nelson: As the article states, lipodystrophy is an umbrella term that refers to both fat loss (known as lipoatrophy) and abnormal fat accumulation (known as lipohypertrophy). What you are referring to is that the article also states that there are no medications to treat lipoatrophy. The article does include discussion of Serostim as a treatment for lipohypertrophy. We hope that clarifies the situation. Thanks!
