The brazilian man will be pronounced cured very soon. The fast rate at which the virus mutates should have shown a rebound over the period but since it hasnt, then the virus has been defeated. How long does the virus take to get reactive after its been hiding?. I am thinking the aggressive approach of the different regimen plus nicotinamide does the magic. More trials required

What’s to prevent a reinfection of HIV through high-risk behavior spoiling the results in these individuals?

Why was he changing regimes so often? And could that have had an impact on outcome?

@Nick45, I hope to hear in the near future that you've gotten on to this programme. Go for it! Btw, I thought of you when I read this article. I thought you'd be so up for it.

I want to try this. I'm already on an integrase inhibitor so I shouldn't need Tivicay. My doctor isn't reliable, so I don't care how many doctors I need to go to in order to get the Selzentry and the nicotinamide. It's worth a shot. I'm willing to try this for a year. It's better than just waiting for researchers to get through mice and monkey models for other cure avenues!
