Many People With HIV Are Eager to Participate in Cure Research

I was so happy to hear so many these days are willing to enter studies. As a 30 yr. Patient i spent the majority of those yrs. In early studies, until i was to old and sick to be of service. It keep me sane and gave me a sense of giving back.

Sure lots of us want to help! The problem is how. We see "cure study needs volunteers" all the time. Then, when you look at where the research is conducted, it's always San Francisco, and occasionally some other developed coastal city in the English Speak World. There are a limited number of San Franciscans with HIV, stop blaming us by suggesting apathy is the problem. We need better programs to identify and link research participants, and broader geographic footprints for experiments.
