I was diagnosed HIV+ four years ago and have had a really hard time side effect wise with my cocktail of antivirals. Truvada liquid Prezista Liquid Norvir because I have problems swallowing pills like a child haha. I had and still have extreme diarrhea, fatigue and no appetite and insomnia. My Dr. prescribed Marinol but all it did was make me sleep and did nothing else. He then told me to try smoking marijuana once a day. I had my doubts about it but it worked for the fatigue and insomnia. A+++

As a longtime survivor of 33 years, and having had multiple cardiac events, Cannabis has been my best friend. The last time I almost died I’d decided to give it up and ‘fly straight’, but went downhill quickly. My Dr encouraged the return to the medication. That was almost 10 years ago. Now my t’s are in the 900’s and am fit as a fiddle. Wheather or not cannabis is responsible for the clear journey may be debatable. But, I’m still here and healthy!

Why not also have a study on the west coast? As you know, there are a lot of POZ folks out here and many of us use Cannabis for multiple reasons from lowering anxiety to pain relief . I am a long time non progressor of 28 years and never have gotten to the AIDs stage and i feel Cannabis has been a large factor in that equation.I also went my first 14 years with no HIV drugs at all
