Give me a break Hollywood built on awards. They are people tring to find their way and not sure if the homo phoia is important to me anymore. Any way Richard is great too like us all and a socia justice leader for he got me into seeing a Free Tibet and Mr. Holy Lama got me into understanding the Middle Way. The movie Hachiko was great where a Akita(Dog)teaches a town about loyaty, compassion and endurance another tear jerker and learning film, another must see. My partener and I have two Akitas

I was prepared to offer kudo's to both Mathew and Hillary for taking on these roles until i read the motive is to gain recognition with an Emmy or Oscar nomination. What about all the activists that are not homophobic, how bout doing in feature film on them.

Greg, I'd agree if this remembering lead us to improved access or treatment. It doesn't though. On the contrary, we seem to ignore these concerns in favor of discussing the past. As it stands, the best this constant memorializing might do is ward off some imaginary notion that HIV is "no big deal", a delusion that is dismissive of how much the virus and those with it are feared. At worst, it furthers the notion that people with HIV are doomed, which is very much stigmatizing.

I would be doing an injustice if I did not include Hilar Swank acting skills for she is another super star in her ablities to pull the strings of emotions in the flim Convicted. A great social justice flick for She was great in her protry of a woman with a conviction to take on the justice system in here reletless effort to learn and believe in an justice. This movie brought to tears and tears with joy for justice,it still lives how one person fought and fought to become stonger, wiser to win
