The AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) helps provide medications to low-income people living with HIV. And the ADAP Advocacy Association (aaa+) is a grassroots group that helps promote ADAP.

On Saturday, September 24, aaa+ will host its annual ADAP Leadership Awards Dinner in Washington, DC, in conjunction with its annual conference. According to an aaa+ press release, the 2015–2016 honorees are:

ADAP Lawmaker of the Year:

The Honorable Carl Sciortino, Massachusetts House of Representatives (2005 to 2014)

 

ADAP Social Media Campaign of the Year:

Marcus Hopkins, HEAL Blog, by the Community Access National Network (CANN)

 

ADAP Grassroots Campaign of the Year:

Legalized Needle Exchange, by the North Carolina Harm Reduction Coalition (NCHRC)
