I agree with Nick... There needs to be some controlled and observed removal of ARV treatment in these volunteers who are made to produce these VRC07an antibodies to assess if and how much the VRC07 antibodies acts upon HIV. There surely are many volunteers who would agree to such a suspension of their ARV treatment so as to help in this investigation. They'd get regular testing. So, why the hold up in moving to such trialing? Is funding lacking or what? Is the will lacking?

And this is why research moves too slowly for a cure. I would've stopped my ARVs just to see if my immune system could finally eradicate HIV with the help of these new antibodies. This was a total waste of time!
