This article has aged badly. U=U. There is no risk of transmission from positive people with an undetectable viral one. One governmental organization and major NGO after another had confirmed this in the years since this was written. We deserved better than this article when it was written and we deserve a correction now.

The math is great and can not be argued with - but the last generation of dealing with the fear and well, fear, have I think permanently separated the world into POZ and NEG, at least in my age cohort (40 - 60). Today's kids did not see what I did - and guys my age would rather be sure than take a chance. Yes, love can build bridges and there are many sero-discordant couples out there, but the reality is that they are and will remain a small minority.
