Initial data from a new study show that most men who havesex with men (MSM) worldwide have difficulty finding HIV testing andcounseling, as well as free condoms and lubricants, according to a statementfrom the Global Forum on MSM & HIV (MSMGF). Fewer than half of MSMworldwide have access to the most basic HIV prevention and services. The studyalso found that stigma related to homophobia was higher for MSM in Africa,Asia, the Caribbean, Eastern Europe and Latin America compared with MSM inNorth America, Western Europe and Australia. More than 5,000 peopleparticipated in the study. A full report on the study is expected in early2011.
