Here in Texas, my IDS sent a prescription to my regular pharmacy and they told me there were no specialty pharmacies in my area so I had to try and have it sent to Humana specialist pharmacy. It took 1 month to get it changed and for them to call the doctor after receiving the request but it eventually was sent by UPS. I'm 63 and have not had noticeable lipo hypertrophy until recently. My IDS physician has been hard to get a hold of as he is treating the COVID patients

I am so glad that Lipodystrophy will now be covered by my insurance, I have been HIV+ for 18yrs and have developed fatty tissue, better known as "man boobs" and in my midsection, I have worked out constantly and tried every diet, still to no avail have I been able to lose the fatty tissue. It has been very depressing and frustrating, hopefully now that insurance companies will cover this procedure I can see some light at the end of the tunnel.

What about Lipoatrophy? Thats not fair to all of the older Hiv/Aids generations that still are young enough and have Lipoatrophy in there face and cheeks, Sculptra should also be covered as that stuff is expensive. Totally Totally not Fair. The majority of the crisis is over concerning such conditions but there are still people out there like myself who have to use sculptra every two years. While the state pays for Grandfathered patients they went from two vials to one with $800 out of Pocket

Will this bill come to MD????? I would be qualified if it did. I have been on medication since 1985. I was born with HIV and am 33 years old and overweight I knew it was the medication. I was skinny before even being diagnosed! How can I get this heard in MD? Please and thank you!

This is Great. I am tempted to move to Massachusetts! Are there any other states considering this law? Specifically Oregon. Maybe I should send this off to Sen Merkley. My insurance will cover my 'buffalo hump' which is described by my doctor as one of the largest he has ever seen, but not the other areas of my torso. I stay home most of the time because of it.

It has been the law for Medicare BUT good luck finding a doctor anywhere around the state of Virginia to do filler or anything else, as far as fixing the wasting look, on your body and the doctor accepting Medicare payments to do the procedures. I had a cosmetic doctor tell me that she did not know how to do filler on a face that was wasting from HIV, REALLY, I do not see any difference in this type of face compared to a wrinkled, older face person that would want to look younger.
