I had a mark on my face just below my nose. I kept ignoring it til my GP said have that looked at. Turned out to be basil cell and because I waited so long I need surgey to remove the cancer and then another surgey to repair the hole left behind. It would have been so easy to just get it handled when i first noticed it. Hindsight is so 20 20

I went for my annual check and pointed out several different trouble spots. My doctor checked them all and said no worries. Then she noticed what I thought was a pimple on my neck and said we should check this out. Biopsy came back positive for basil cell. She caught it super early and the treatment was quick and very effective. Get checked regularly people!

I pointed out something to my primary care doctor for three years before he finally suggested I get it checked by a dermatologist. By then I had Melanoma that had spread to my lymph nodes. Just schedule an annual checkup with the dermatologist. It could save your life.

I recently went to my dermatologist for a full skin exam and showed her a small red patch on my hand. She took a sample to biopsy. I was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma, a form of skin cancer. I then went in for a procedure called Mohs surgery to remove the cancer. I was so thankful that I acted early. Always a good idea to check something out that doesn't look or feel right.
