Thank you for sharing your experience with wasting syndrome. As a LTS, I first experienced wasting in 1994, and repeated episodes since. Like you, I keep on extra weight for when I have a wasting episode.. A recent heart attack and subsequent infections resulted in a 40-pound weight loss within a week. Luckily, I had the extra weight to spare. I no longer can take HGH or testosterone due to the heart attack. My best for continued good health.

So, I just wanted to say that our son (who is 35 now) had heart surgery at 3 months, also. At the time they warned us of ‘tainted’ blood transfusions (with HIV) so we had a friend donate blood for my son. I’m sorry that this young man had to contract HIV - very tragic. Glad he ‘caught’ it and hopefully can ‘hang on’!
