I am a long term survivor having been through the great die-off of the 80s, watching and being with virtually every guy I knew, friends, my lover and people drop some quickly, some slowly and agonizingly. Finally by 1996 I knew it was my time, weak, barely able to walk with a cane, and emaciated. But just then as I'd made burial arrangements and bought a plot along came a trial for Crixovan and I was put on it. It was, in a sense, salvation but the aftermath has been difficult. I have PTSD.
