How can you get STD if you don't have sex. Just because you have HIV. The article isn't clear about the two aspects of different conditions. Having to be tested every three months is not going to solve getting whatever you aren't suppose to get. With limited funds available this doesn't seem like an expense to be added.

One of my best friends died commiting suicide! While in the hospital after one suicide attempt, they uncovered that had third stage Syphilis( tertiary Syphilis) it would be even worse if he had never known because they immediately began antibiotics. That's not what I'm commenting on:: this person went for regular VDRL blood tests and nothing was ever found. It takes a long time to move from one stage to another and also he physically did not show any symptoms

I'm HIV+ and in a monogamous relationship. Why would I need ongoing syphillis testing every three months if I've already tested negative? It would be nice if you would acknowledge this in your article--HIV+ monogamous people do exist.
