From the researchers. “ Speculating about the reasons for elevated long COVID risk in people with HIV, the study authors note that HIV-positive people have higher rates of comorbidities and socioeconomic factors associated with worse COVID outcomes..” in other words this may have nothing to do with HIV disease and EVERYTHING to do with whether they smoke - and we know smoking is much more prevalent in people with HIV, do drugs (ditto) , or have food and housing security issues (also, ditto).

Why would I pay attention to a study of folks not vaccinated for COVID? Why would anybody engage investigation on a group that doesn't represent the majority of HIV folks? From what I read, HIV folks are at the front of vaccines.

All I can do is speak for myself. I was diagnosed February of 1986. I got Covid-19 in January of this year and the exhaution lasted around 6 months with an uncomfortable feeling in my lungs. I finally got put on a real strong dose of antibiotics because of e-coli infection, stomach and uti, and within four days, my lungs felt normal. I am finally feeling better but the exhaustion hits me occasionally where I am down, usually if I did some major physical activity the day before. Attitude ^
